Being the least funny person in a house full of fun-loving, hilarious people, I can understand why less-funny people can get frustrated with naturally-funny people. Because it isn't easy to tell when an always-funny person is trying to be serious, it is hard to take an always-funny person seriously. Then, it is exremely frustrating when that "funny" person becomes irritated when you don't take him or her seriously.
After living for 38 years on this planet, I have come to realize that it is possible that some always-funny people are really hiding their insecurities behind a mask of humor. That's o.k., because we all have different ways of masking our own insecurities. So, I think my advice to you is to trust in Jesus Christ to be your All-In-All. Realize that you are made perfect in Christ Jesus. You MUST read Psalm 139! This Psalm gives a clear picture of how well God knows each of us, and it is so comforting to know that there is nothing you can hide from him, not even the most secret, private thoughts you have. He is before you and behind you, on either side of you, and He even created your inmost being! In addition, He promises in Philippians 1:6... "being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;" and in Hebrews 13:21, he will "make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever."
In short, just quit trying to impress people, and instead, seek to use the gift of humor for God's glory, not your own! Ask God to humble your heart in His sight so that you can be a blessing to others, and a servant and soldier for His kingdom.
